Five Tips for Designing Modular Kitchen

Modular kitchens are emerging fashion trends today. This article will help you design your kitchen and list the essential factors for designing a customized modular kitchen. Of course, there are multiple factors, but we have mentioned the top five aspects in this article.

1. Know Your Kitchen Dimensions & Space

This is the most critical factor because a modular kitchen depends upon the size and area of your kitchen. Therefore, do not forget to check and measure your kitchen size to install a custom modular kitchen, as this will decide the style of your kitchen.

The modular kitchen comes in four basic styles:

For Big Kitchen -

1. The L- shape.

2. The Island style

For Small Kitchen -

3. Straight kitchen style.

4. Parallel style.

Please remember that you can go with an L shape or an island-style modular kitchen for a big space kitchen. In contrast, select either a straight or parallel style for a small kitchen.

2. Pick a Perfect Colour Scheme

The Colour scheme is the next important point as it will catch everyone's eyes. So, do select a perfect colour scheme for your modular kitchen.

Generally, everyone prefers a dark shade scheme in India because the kitchen often produces oil strains that stick to the walls. Moreover, dark colour has less maintenance such as cleaning and washing. But, you can go for a light colour scheme but remember it will be a bit demanding on daily cleaning.

Did you know!

In the year 1802, the German inventor Frederick Albert Winson prepared the first food in history cooked with gas. Winson's kitchen was artisanal, designed simply to demonstrate the culinary possibilities of gas and its cleanliness compared to coal fires.

3. Concentrate on Safety

This is one of the paramount factors of a modular kitchen. Choose good standard quality cables for electricity connections, and use switches, sockets, and panels of high-quality standards. Tell your designer not to design any sharp corners and edges. Gas cables or pipes should be of good quality and inspected by the authorities. The draining facilities should be good, and slip-resistant floorings must be used. If possible, go for fire-proof plywood for the kitchen. Also, don't forget to install Gas leak detectors in your kitchen & have a fire extinguisher in the kitchen.

4. Set for Proper Ventilation

A kitchen generates an enormous amount of heat. So there should be a suitable exhaust to evacuate heat. In this advanced world, many chimneys are available at a reasonable price. A modular kitchen should have an exhaust and a chimney. Proper air circulation is a must. To avoid smoke, fumes, and heat accumulation in your kitchen, kindly consider using a powerful exhaust in addition to a suitable chimney based on the size of the kitchen and the type of food you cook.

5. Lighting

A kitchen should have a bright light to feel the warmth of the kitchen. Other than natural lightning, an overhead light must be on the countertop to ensure visibility. Under-cabinet lights are used in many modular kitchens because they direct lightning to the countertop. You can also use LED strips in the cabinet for added visibility.
